Carnegie sole financial adviser to Intera Partners in the EUR 90 million sale of Royal Restaurants

Carnegie advised the owners of Royal Restaurants, Intera Partners, in the sale of the company to Helsinki Stock Exchange listed company Restamax. Intera Partners will invest EUR 20m in the combined entity and subsequently become the fourth largest shareholder with approximately 10 per cent ownership.

Royal Restaurants is one of the largest restaurant companies in Finland. At the end of 2017 the Royal Restaurant Group included 35 individual restaurants, 21 Hanko Sushi restaurants, 7 Pizzarium restaurants, and 4 Sandro restaurants across Finland. In the financial year 2017, the net sales of Royal Restaurants amounted to EUR 105.6m, with an adjusted EBITDA of EUR 8.3m.

The merger of Royal Restaurants and Restamax will create one of the largest restaurant groups in the Nordic countries listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The combined reported net sales of Restamax and Royal Ravintolat for the financial year ending on 31 December 2017 were EUR 291.4m, EBITDA was EUR 29.4m. 

Carnegie acted as the sole financial adviser to Intera Partners.
