Pia Marions, former Carnegie CFO, is to be appointed to the board of directors of Carnegie Group

Pia Marions and Gustav Axelson is to be appointed as new directors of Carnegie Holding AB (Carnegie Group) and Carnegie Investment Bank AB. 

Ms Marions has many years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as CFO of Skandia. She served as the CFO of Carnegie from 2010 to 2015.

“I am delighted that Pia is returning to Carnegie as a director. She thoroughly understands the company, its culture and the driving forces that make Carnegie one of the foremost advisers and asset managers in the Nordics,” says Carnegie Group Board Chair Anders Johnsson. “With her in-depth and relevant expertise in the field combined with her strong personal characteristics, I am confident Pia is going to be a tremendous asset to Carnegie and its board.”

Marions’ previous employers include Folksam, Royal Bank of Scotland, Länsförsäkringar Liv and Finansinspektionen. She also serves as a director on the boards of Duni Group, Skandiabanken, Skandia Fastigheter and Vitrolife.

Marions will take her seat on the board on 1 September, at which time she will step down as CFO of Skandia.

Gustav Axelson, Director at Altor, will replace Klas Johansson, partner at Altor, on the board of directors of Carnegie. Axelson is currently a director on the boards of Rillion, QNTM and ARC. His previous experience with McKinsey & Company.

Following these changes, the board of directors of Carnegie Group will be composed of the board chair, Anders Johnsson, and directors Harald Mix, Pia Marions, Ingrid Bojner, Andreas Rosenlew and Gustav Axelson, as of 1 September.
