Carnegie Art Award, one of the largest art awards in the world, was handed out by H.M. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark in a ceremony at Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen. Three winners and one scholarship recipient share a total of SEK 2,1 millon. Concurrently, an exhibition featuring 23 of the most prominent Nordic artists right is opened.

The first prize went to Kristján Guðmundsson (IS), the second prize to Kristina Jansson, (SE) and the third prize to Felix Gmelin (SE). A special grant for an emerging artist was awarded to Marie Søndergaard Lolk (DK).
