Every second year the jury compiles the exhibition by selecting among the nominated artists' submitted works. The artists that participate in the exhibition represent a diverse spectrum of Nordic contemporary painting. The Carnegie Art Award exhibitions have from the start in 1998 attracted more than 350,000 visitors and received substantial media coverage.
