Carnegie has a vision to be the Nordic region’s leading investment bank. Having competent employees is not sufficient to realise this vision. We must also have an ethics awareness that corresponds to the demands from the bank and other stakeholders.
Carnegie strives to contribute to sustainable development in four different areas:
- Our environment
Our goal is to act to the best of our ability in a manner that is sustainable over the long term from an environmental standpoint. This applies primarily to the direct impact of our business operations in which our goal is to use resources in an efficient and sustainable manner, but we also strive to reduce the indirect impact arising through our services.
- Our society
Carnegie plays an important role in society in contributing to the development of the financial market, which in turn creates prerequisites for economic growth. It is therefore important for us to take greater responsibility in society than what only applies to our own operations. This is something that has concerned many of our employees and contributed to the creation of the Carnegie Social Initiative.
- Our employees
Carnegie is a knowledge company in its purest form in which employees are our most important resource. It is therefore essential that we promote job satisfaction and sound health and that we recruit the best employees based on competence and personality. Responsible behaviour begins with employees, and ethics and morals are an important component, since trust is the basis for conducting our business.
- Our business
We have noted increased demand for products that take environmental and social conditions into consideration. Awareness of social responsibility on the part of our clients and our employees has resulted in attractive products in line with Carnegie’s ethical values.
